Stunning 100% silk Vera Neumann floral scarf. I stumbled upon some Vera scarves in a Canadian thrift shop about 20 years ago and although I had no knowledge of her or her history the quality was obvious.

During WWII Vera came across some parachute silk at an army surplus store and started using this to make scarves. She kept her signature on art transferred to the scarves, thus creating the first signature scarf in history. Vera scarves became very popular and worn by women like Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Bess Truman. They are still very collectible.
