Trash Chic fashion shoot
Prepping for, and working on, this photoshoot has been extremely satisfying.
Step 1 - Photographer Alina Natali @frustration_amok asked me if I'd be interested in collaborating with her on a photoshoot with my preloved clothes as the heroes. Of course, I said yes.
Step 2 - With fingers crossed, I invited 3 friends to model in the shoot. Fortunately, they all agreed.
Step 3 - I spent months curating the outfits, snapping up quirky preloved garments that I felt captured the essence of what I am trying to do. There are so many wonderful clothes already in existence, I want people to question why they buy new. I like to mix and match vintage and modern, colours, textures and styles to create something unique.
Step 3 - The photographer, Alina, and I met to decide on the final outfits and locations.
Step 4 - It wasn't possible for the models to try the clothes before the day of the shoot so I was a little anxious. I should not have worried. They all loved the clothes I'd chosen for them and there were only a few changes we had to make.
Step 5 - All dressed up, we trekked out into the hottest day of the year and into the woods.
This is the result...
