Re-Fashion & Fizz Festival Edition June 2024
One of the best things about selling my preloved clothing is collaborating with other like-minded people who are embracing upcycling, recycling and sustainability.
I have an incredible line up for the Re-Fashion & Fizz Festival Edition on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June, upstairs at Grand Arcade in Cambridge. We'll be open from 10am to 6pm on both days with a cornucopia of quirky secondhand clothing, upcycled headwear and jewellery.
In addition there'll be Ecstatic Dance sessions and glitter art make-overs throughout the weekend.
Let me introduce you to the makers and creators:
Trash Chic
Little ol me will be bringing a carefully curated collection of pre-loved clothing with a definite festival vibe including sequins, faux fur, boho dresses, jumpsuits and kimonos. Eye-popping colour and fun quirky outfits. This really is funky affordable style on your doorstep.
Preloved Chica
An international collection of second-hand clothes from across the world including Japan, Thailand, Bali and Bahrain. Preloved Chica’s IKIGIAI, a Japanese concept representing the convergence of passion, mission and vocation, centres around her love of inspiring people to choose second-hand clothes first.
DJ Chica
Elene Marsden, a seasoned Ecstatic Dance DJ, honed her craft during a seven-month stay in Bali amid the lockdown. She began her DJ journey at the age of 65 and has since been playing gigs her local community for the past two years. With international experience in Japan, Bali, and Thailand, she eagerly anticipates showcasing her talent at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge.
Noko Designs
Handmade jewellery with a hint of bohemian style, think blue skies, sandy beaches, turquoise seas and boho vibes! Marnie’s vibrant jewellery is inspired by the countries she’s visited. She sources beads from around the world but loves to use offcuts of fabric and leather, and recycled elements to keep her products as sustainable as possible.
Tatty La La’s Fabulous Headwear
We'll have a limited collection of unique flower crowns made from upcycled flowers and jewellery. Lightweight, robust and comfy to wear all day and all night long.
Origameg Lights
Meggy Blue spends their nights folding squares of paper into beautiful bespoke strings of origami flower lights. Alongside their ready-to-love work, they thrive on taking on a commission challenge, be it a dinky little alcove, artsy wedding or festival chill out area. Give them an idea to springboard off and they'll happily dive into their carefully curated collection of papers to create the perfect combination of colours and patterns to suit any brief.
The Glitter Fairy
The Glitter Fairy will be on hand to make your festival outfit come alive with a dusting of sparkle. Sian uses plant based, eco friendly glitters and hypoallergenic face glue. Choose from a rainbow of beautiful colours.
Bubbly Bandits
BubblyBandits was born from a passion for sparkling wine and Italian style. They have selected some niche sparkling wines from a range of small and medium sized family-owned Italian wineries, waiting for you to try and fall in love with! From the lush, verdant hills of Veneto, the Bandits bring their delicious Durello wines to Cambridge.
Come along, bring your friends, shop, dance, sip some bubbly and have festival fun with us.
